MY CULINARY STORY
Born in New Jersey to chef parents, Chef David Rose was raised with a diverse and curious palate. His culinary interest led him to enroll in Le Cordon Bleu Culinary College (Tucker, GA), where he graduated summa cum laude. Living in Atlanta for more than a decade, Chef Rose finds inspiration in his surroundings and identifies as a southern chef, creatively reinterpreting classic southern fare by incorporating the refinement of his French culinary training, with his signature bold flavors, and the occasional flair from his family’s Jamaican recipes.
“Growing up in New Jersey, I had a lot of Jewish, Italian, French, Indian and Korean friends, and I loved trying all of the different foods when I’d visit their homes ... Korean pancakes, pâté, latkes, and gnocchi with clam sauce ... I had my first experience eating foie gras when I was nine years old,” Rose reminisces. “I’ve always been an adventurous eater, but it wasn’t until much later that I decided to turn my passion into my profession.”
Currently, Chef Rose serves as a National Brand Ambassador for the Big Green Egg and Nissan USA. Rose is also the founder and creator of the TLC Experience (Tastings • Libations • Cigars), where he partners with spirits and cigar companies to create extraordinary dining experiences. Recently he has been named as a Brand Ambassador for Camacho Cigars, and served as a spokesperson for a summer BBQ tour partnered with Lipton Iced Tea, and a BBQ culinary media activation with Bush’s Baked Beans & Nissan Titan Trucks.
Last year, Rose appeared as a finalist on Food Network Star (season 13) cooking head to head with Bobby Flay and fielding praise from Giada De Laurentiis. He also appears regularly on Hallmark Home & Family, Pickler & Ben, HLN, and local morning shows across the country, and as a celebrity chef judge for The CBS Chef’s Classic.
As a special events chef, brand ambassador and caterer, Chef David Rose works with many high profile brands and professional clientele, including NBA & NFL players and celebrities. Outside of the kitchen, he continues to draw culinary inspiration from his frequent travels.
